Consult
The initial consultation is the first stage of any project. It involves understanding the purpose and business strategy behind the site and so includes your aims, objectives and requirements of your website.
In developing your website, the following set of processes are designed to ensure you have confidence in our work and we are following best practices. In doing this we can avoid the risks and variables common with most IT projects. Projects will be easily managed throughout each step to ensure your objectives are understood and that any changes along the way can be introduced without affecting the progress of the project.
The following provides an insight into how Helen Hartley – Graphic Digital Design (HH-GDD) will divide the project into manageable stages of development. Each stage has a brief description of what is involved from a development perspective.
The initial consultation is the first stage of any project. It involves understanding the purpose and business strategy behind the site and so includes your aims, objectives and requirements of your website.
We develop a graphic representation of the site using a Style Tile and Wireframes which captures the theme, layouts of text and images, menus and colours. This indicates how the site will look and ‘feel’.
Coding begins! Working our magic, we combine all the information you have provided, which will be visible on the internet. This includes any agreed elements of images, text and navigation controls.
The phase will see the completion of and modifications made to perfect the site. The site will then undergo a series of tests to ensure that every element is functional and ready for a final review.
We require the client to sign off on the project and finalise any payment due. Your website is then uploaded to the internet to your prefered host with training and familiarisation of your site to follow
In addition, we can organise your hosting and, if desired, maintain your website to keep it functioning at its best.
