Marketing Your Business 24/7
Having an online presence is vital for marketing any business in this day and age. A great functioning website, linked to the appropriate social media sites, allows prospective clients to explore what Products and Services you sell. It also conveys a message about your Brand and how you might conduct your business.
One of the reasons I came to web development quite late was because I became so frustrated with dealing (most often) with developers who and spoke in a kind of gobbledegook that I found hard to follow. This is not a criticism of developers, they have great skills and expertise, that I am (now) envious of! Yet, as a consequence, because they have such a technical focus, I found it hard to convey my vision to them who in many cases knew very little about incorporating those all-important aesthetics.
I like a website to be clean, that is to say, uncluttered so information is easy to find. I get so frustrated with websites that have lots of crap on them and the information you’re looking for is buried so far into the site, you end up leaving. This does not enhance the user experience or help with marketing your website. Did you know that 48% of people cited a website’s design as the number one factor in deciding the credibility of a business?
When building a website the developer will spend a considerable amount of time preparing the information you provided to optimise the functionality of the site. Slow websites are a real negative. In fact, according to Adobe, 39% of people will stop engaging with a website if images won’t load or take too long to load. I know I do.
A great website does not have to have fancy animations or things flashing in and out. A great website is built for the purpose of marketing your business, enhancing your brand and increasing your reach.
